yes, i am quite aware that the lower part of the water is terribly overexposed; but i'm of the opinion that it gives this photo a distinct identity - you know, it just provides a totally different feel?

I agree with you about the overexposure as I think sometimes, like here, it can give an abstract feel to an image that can help with the mood.
