my sister painted a few champange glasses. i took a few shots of the different designs, and this is a picture of one of the bases. (:
i used to dream and wish that i could draw, 'cause i had all these pictures bouncing about in my head; but everytime i put pencil to paper, nothing ever came out right, and it highly frustrated me.
but with photography, at least i can acheive some of that; though i can't create something out of nothing, at least i can capture :) and i'm quite content with that.

I love the detail and the story! I like how you can see the reflection of the drawings! Wonderful work Alicia!!

a good graphic close-up capture! the use of BW was smack on target!
it takes an artist eye to see and capture this, so even though you may not be able to draw something from nothing the "normal" way, you have already "drawn" this picture with the use of light and sensors creatively... so you have arrived! :)
keep the shots coming!

the photo is excellent. And since you have found your "art" (and you did find it I assure you) keep the shots coming.

You write “though I can’t create something out of nothing, at least I can capture.” I do not agree with this statement at all. The photographer can find the mundane or the unseen and bring it to life or give it its own life. Any artist begins with something and photography is no exception.
