so here's the guy from the National Parks Board, chopping off the branches from the luckless tree who was struck by lightning. i'll sure miss that tree! it provided a great deal of shade, and it was pretty nice whenever the tree changed leaves - we could pretend it was autumn (: seeing that Singapore hardly has any change in season all year round. haha. it's nice to pretend, anyway. oh well. i think it's still alive, and i'm currently waiting for new green leaves to appear. i sure hope they appear before i leave ): 'cause we'll be moving house around late July/early August.
oh, and i'll be in Genting (Malaysia) from sat-mon [16th June - 18th June], so i guess i'll catch up with you guys after i come back! :)

Ahhhh!! bye bye tree. I feel very very sad when they cut down the trees at my area. I'll always protest cause I like the shades they provide but well, they are not safe anymore.

@ling: they cut off the branches only, actually :) the tree itself is still around!
Brilliant capture!
