the nights are forever

my friends who saw this picture refused to believe it was taken in Singapore. haha. i guess it's cause most of us presume that all the breathtaking pictures we see in the papers/books/online/etc are all from overseas, and is impossible to see/capture locally. disclaimer: not that i'm trying to say this picture is fantabulous or anything of course, LOL.

well i suppose it's all in the perspective (: the grass is always greener on the other side. though i won't deny that there are definitely more photogenic locations overseas, that doesn't mean there are none here in sunny Singapore (which, for the uninitiated, is not part of China! haha. some people like to assume that).

in any case, i took this right outside my house at dawn :D well, relatively near dawn anyways. remember the poor sad tree who was struck by lightning? yep. this here is that same tree's silhouette. took it while we were leaving for a wedding tea ceremony last Saturday :) perhaps i'll share those photos next... though i feel that they suck and aren't worth sharing =x

will be going for the wedding dinner tonight. there may or may not be much subjects to take, but i guess i'll just lug my camera along anyways. the last time i did that, i must confess i must've looked really weird all dressed up with a bulky camera swinging from my side. hahaha.
